Mr. László Gellén, President of Cluster
In 2012, the Bakony-Balaton Mechatronics and Automotive Cluster was established through the fusion of the Central Transdanubian Regionális Innovation Cluster, managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Veszprém, and the Ajka Mechatronics and Automotive Cluster, operated by Central Pannon Regional Development cPlc.
The primary objective of the Bakony-Balaton Mechatronics and Automotive Cluster (BBMAC) is to strengthen professionally driven cooperation among the key industrial, economic, and research and development actors of the Central Transdanubian region and the Bakony-Balaton area, with a particular focus on the automotive, mechanical engineering, electronics, metalworking, plastics, and defense industries.
The BBMAC supports the improvement of its members’ market positions, the development of their domestic and international partnerships, and the initiation and implementation of joint, interest-based development projects and investments.
The strategic objectives of the BBMAC include enhancing the economic competitiveness of the region, increasing employment levels, improving quality of life, retaining operating capital, and strengthening the region’s ability to attract investment.
The operational objective of the BBMAC is to develop new forms of cooperation among members, strengthen partnership-based relationships, and improve the supplier capabilities of enterprises.
The BBMAC promotes the sharing of professional experience, participation in domestic and international projects, and the utilization of opportunities that support revenue growth and strengthen the market position of its members.
The objectives of the BBMAC include developing cooperation between regional R&D and higher education institutions, professional support organizations, and enterprises, as well as preparing joint innovation and investment projects.
Through its members, the BBMAC contributes to the economic development of the region, improves enterprises’ market access opportunities, and strengthens the industrial and innovation ecosystem.
